Our products are highly durable. For example, our carbonated beverage bottles can withstand an internal pressure of up to 1.6MPa to ensure that they are not damaged during transportation. Our design team can provide you with customized glass bottles. Whether it is the shape, capacity, or the color and label design of the bottle, it can be optimized according to your brand needs.
We provide environmentally friendly recycled glass bottles and focus on sustainable development, helping your brand to show an environmentally friendly image. We use the highest 55% of the recycled glass in our beverage bottles.
Newray has always been committed to providing high-quality, low-cost packaging bottles for soft drink producers. Through efficient production and supply chain management, we can guarantee timely delivery. I look forward to working with you to jointly promote the development of your brand!
Below are the main steps to customize jam jars in bulk.
The total time from receiving the customer's drawings to the completion of mass production of the bulk jam jars and delivery is 80-90 days.
To customize your own bottle shape and logo, please allow adequate time to ensure sufficient supply before the peak season arrives.
Most of the glass bottles produced by Newray are made from soda-lime glass (common ordinary glass bottles). Through professional design, these glass bottles can withstand temperatures up to 121°C, meeting the requirements for pasteurization and having thermal shock resistance of 42°C or more. Before production and design, sales staff always ask customers about the intended contents for the glass bottles. This is crucial for controlling bottle and material design to ensure the glass bottle’s quality and safety during use.
However, not all glass juice bottles are suitable for high temperatures or for use in dishwashers and ovens, for the following reasons:
1. Heat Resistance Issue
Soda-lime glass has not undergone special reinforcement treatment, and its heat resistance is limited. It can generally withstand temperature changes of around 42°C. Directly using it in an oven with drastic temperature changes could cause the glass to crack or break, especially at high temperatures (e.g., over 200°C). If you need to use a glass bottle for making jam in a pressure cooker, it is recommended to preheat the bottle beforehand.
2. Thermal Expansion and Temperature Difference
Soda-lime glass has a high thermal expansion coefficient. Rapid temperature changes (for example, moving from the oven directly into cold water) can lead to glass breakage. Specifically, thermal shock exceeding 42°C greatly increases the risk of the glass beverage containers breaking.
3. Dishwasher Use
In dishwashers, water temperature typically ranges from 50°C to 75°C, but the jet water flow and hot steam may cause uneven heating of the glass bottle. Although soda-lime glass bottles may not completely break in the short term, frequent exposure to high temperatures and water pressure may increase the risk of cracking. Most soda-lime glass bottles are intended for single use. If you plan to reuse jars, such as those for pickles or honey, it is recommended to clean them manually with 50-60°C warm water.
4. Specially Reinforced Glass for Specific Use
If you need to use glass bottles in the oven or dishwasher, it is advisable to choose heat-resistant glass bottles (e.g., heat-resistant soda-lime glass or borosilicate glass) or tempered glass bottles. These types of glass are specially designed and reinforced to offer better thermal shock resistance and high-temperature tolerance, typically withstanding temperatures of 250°C to 300°C without breaking.
Conclusion:
Ordinary soda-lime glass bottles are not suitable for use in ovens and are not recommended for long-term cleaning in dishwashers. If you need to use glass bottles in an oven or dishwasher, it is recommended to choose heat-resistant glass bottles designed specifically for high-temperature use.
Ordinary soda-lime glass bottles are suitable for beverages with lower carbonation levels, like sparkling water, fruit juice, and tea, with a pressure tolerance typically ranging from 0.2-0.3 MPa. However, beer bottles require higher pressure resistance, with standard beer bottles typically withstanding 0.5-0.7 MPa, and special designs being capable of withstanding even higher pressures.
Newray’s approach to designing both disposable and recyclable beer bottles is impressive, with disposable bottles designed to handle 1.0 MPa and recyclable ones capable of withstanding up to 1.6 MPa. By optimizing the bottle design—especially the thickness of critical areas like the neck, bottom, and body—Newray ensures that the bottle can maintain its structural integrity even with high carbon dioxide content in beverages. This ensures both the safety and quality of the packaged product.
If a customer has high-carbonated beverages, they can be assured that Newray’s design and production methods will ensure the bottles can withstand internal pressure and maintain the product's quality.
The number of times a beverage bottle can be used depends mainly on its design, the durability of the glass bottle and the way the bottle is handled. Generally speaking, a returnable glass bottle can be used for 10-15 filling and recycling cycles under normal conditions, but the final number of times the bottle is used is affected by many factors. The specific number depends on factors such as glass quality, cleaning process and transportation and storage conditions. By optimizing the design and strictly controlling the recycling process, the service life and number of refills of the bottle can be maximized.
The filling speed of glass bottles is related to the type of filling equipment, the specifications of the bottle, the nature of the product, and the configuration of the production line.
Generally speaking, the speed of glass bottle filling lines can reach the following ranges:
Small production line: Usually suitable for small batch production or customized bottle production line, the filling speed is about 3,000 to 6,000 bottles per hour (depending on the size of the bottle and the characteristics of the filling content).
Medium production line: Suitable for medium-scale production, the filling speed can reach 6,000 to 12,000 bottles per hour.
Large production line: Automated filling line for large-scale production, the filling speed can exceed 20,000 bottles per hour, and some efficient production lines can even reach 30,000 to 50,000 bottles/hour, such as red wine, beer, etc.
Different filling speeds have different requirements for the impact resistance of the glass bottles used for filling. Generally speaking, the National Standard of the People's Republic of China GB 4544-1996 for beer bottles requires that the impact resistance of qualified beer bottles be ≥0.6 J, the GB/T 24694-2009 standard for glass container liquor bottles requires that the impact resistance of liquor bottles be ≥0.2 J, and the QB∕T2142-2017 standard for glass container carbonated beverage bottles requires that disposable carbonated beverage bottles be ≥0.2 J, and recyclable carbonated beverage bottles (≤530mL) be ≥0.4 J, and (≥530mL) be ≥0.6 J. Please decide to purchase the corresponding filling equipment and packaging glass bottles according to the characteristics of your own products.
