Silk screen printing on glass wine bottles is a common custom printing process used to print logos, patterns, text, QR codes, product codes or logos on the surface of glass. The principle of this process is to use a silk screen template to transfer the ink to the surface of the bottle through mesh screen printing, leaving a clear and delicate high-quality pattern on the glass bottle.
Basic steps of the silk screen printing process:
Plate making: First, make a silk screen template (screen). The template corresponds to the pattern or text that the customer needs to print on the bottle, and the rest is blank.
Inking: Apply special inks of various colors on the top of the silk screen template. These colors correspond to the customer's color requirements through Pantone color numbers.
Printing: The ink is squeezed onto the surface of the glass bottle through the silk screen template under pressure from the oil brush, and the ink left corresponds to the pattern designed by the template.
Baking: After printing and a short natural drying, the glass bottle printed with ink is sent to the oven for baking to ensure that the pattern is firm and durable. This step is divided into high-temperature baking and low-temperature baking. High-temperature baking ensures that the printed glass bottles can be used repeatedly without fading. Low-temperature baking is for disposable glass bottles, or some very bright colors may change color due to high-temperature baking, so low-temperature baking can only be selected.

Basic steps of decals:
1. Pattern design: Design a pattern or logo according to customer needs and make the corresponding drawing paper.
2. Soaking: Soak the prepared drawing paper in water to make it more accessible for the workers.
3. Decals: Workers stick the soaked drawing paper to a specific position on the glass bottle and scrape it flat with a small scraper to ensure that the drawing paper fits tightly to the bottle body and avoids bubbles.
4. Drying: The bottle with the drawing paper is dried at room temperature. The high-temperature drawing paper also needs to tear off the base film on the surface.
5. Baking: The glass bottle with the drawing paper is placed in a high-temperature oven and heated. The temperature is usually between 500-600°C. The high temperature melts the ink or glaze on the drawing paper and firmly adheres to the glass surface.
Characteristics of decal:
- High durability: The patterns baked at high temperatures are brightly colored, scratch-resistant, and wear-resistant.
- Suitable for complex designs: Baking can achieve multi-color and complex patterns that cannot be achieved by silk screen printing.
- High-temperature resistance: The baked flower pattern can withstand high temperatures and is suitable for dishwasher cleaning.
- Strong adhesion: Through high-temperature melting, the pattern is tightly combined with the bottle body and is not easy to fall off.
